the warm water cleans far more effectively than paper ever
could and its temperature and flow are easily adjusted by
remote control, while the wand self-cleans before and after
every use.
The design concept of the Neorest Series is all about
integration, so various advanced technologies are
incorporated, though hardly visible to the naked eye. The
range exhibits flat unobtrusive lines that neatly match each
other and fit into various bathroom atmospheres.
TOTO continues to push the limits of innovation,
making technological break-throughs that improve the
quality of life. The new Neorest with Actilight and ewater+
technologies sees the toilet bowl feature a special zirconium
oxide coating which works with the ultraviolet light inside
the seat to trigger a photo catalytic process that breaks
down organic substances on the inside of the bowl.
“They are being specified more often in residential,
smaller projects, and we are getting specified in hotels.
We just had 25 Neorests installed at Star City,” manager
Mizudori Gallery and TOTO distributor Randall Cadby says.
“There are toilets and washlets going into a new hotel in
Brisbane, while Crown Melbourne and Perth have already
installed plenty of Neo Rests, generally for high-end rooms,
but also for their disabled rooms.”
Given the complexity of the toilets, and the added
technologies, Randall and his team ensure plumbers are
well informed and trained before installing any of TOTO’s
products.
“What we did for Star City was spoke to the plumbers
when they were tendering. We delivered the Neorest to their
warehouse and went through the installation process with
them and assembled one on the floor. Because they were
being retrofitted into spaces where toilets were previously
installed, the builder wanted us to oversee things to make
sure they did the first one right.
“It’s all about getting plumbers comfortable with the idea.
It saves a lot of headaches if you go out and show them how
these washlets are installed.”
While Randall’s team is always forthcoming with
help and advice when it comes to proper installation
practices, he does admit that a lot of it comes down to the
plumbers actually reading the instructions as step by step
instructions are provided. The other thing for plumbers to
remember with these out of the ordinary toilets is that
