THRESHOLD DRAINAGE SYSTEMS FOR BALCONIES INMULTI-RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
Threshold drainage is an ideal solution for protection against water from the outside. A
threshold drain consists of an external linear grate which sits externally beside the door
track. An integrated, concealed, sub-sill collects water and condensation around the
doorway and conveys it to the external drainage system. The linear drain can be positioned
on the outside of the door to capture water, while impacting on the design of the door
system.
Keeping water out of a building is a requirement of AS-4654 Waterproofing membranes
for external above-ground use, and AS1428.1-2009Design for access and mobility for
allowing a continuous path of travel from indoors to outdoors.
Stormtech drainage systems are suitable for multi-residential drainage projects, both
small and large-scale. Stormtech was a pioneer of the level threshold drainage system and

Existing pre-2009 Enware AquablendTM
2000 can now be upgraded with a
complete cartridge changeover, enhancing
the technology and extending the life of
the existing AquablendTM TMV. A major
step forward in legionella control.
Thermal Flush technology allows for
efficient thermal flushing without having
to re-commission the valve. Once the
upgrade cartridge is installed, a controlled
hot water flush is allowed to pass
through the TMV for maintenance and
decontamination.

WASTE GULLY
Another great
innovation from

Plastec Australia is a
new range of compact
Floor Waste Gullies.
These gully kits
have been designed to
require significantly less ceiling space for
installation than most regular gullies in
the marketplace today.
They will be available for purchase as a
complete installation package including
gully, grate and puddle flange. There will
be numerous grate options to choose from
including regular round and square grates,
plus tile insert options.
Even with their reduced height, these
gullies will be very easy to maintain with a
removable internal trap.
