hansgrohe presents Metropol mixers
hansgrohe has developed its most comprehensive range of mixers to date, with the Metropol, and expanded its range of mixers for high-end private and hotel bathrooms with its new Metropol Classic line, which were both presented at ISH in Frankfurt.
The Metropol range of mixers feature a choice of three types of handles and is the first range to include a floor-standing washbasin mixer for use with free-standing washbasins.
The basin mixers come in four different tap heights, providing space for individual needs and the 100 basin mixer is available in two versions with either a 160 or 190mm spout length.
With an overall height of about 1200mm, the new floor-standing Metropol basin mixer can be easily positioned, making it a flexible complement to free-standing washbasins.
The comprehensive Metropol range also includes shower and bathtub mixers for exposed or concealed installation.
In addition to mixers with a flat lever handle, hansgrohe offers customers a choice of models with a slender loop handle and a third version is the mixer handle with integrated Select technology.
The new Metropol Classic collection features gold accents on the base, handles and spouts of the mixers, which are also available in a pure chrome finish on special order. This finish is created with the help of a Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) process that coats the product parts with the use of vapour in a vacuum chamber and makes them resistant to scratches and corrosion.
Users can choose between three different versions of Metropol Classic three-hole mixers with either a softly curved lever handle, minimalist zero handle or ergonomically rounded cross handle. For modern interiors with freestanding bathtubs, there is a freestanding mixer with a matching chrome and gold baton hand shower.
hansgrohe Metropol Classic washbasin mixers are available in three different spout heights (ComfortZone 110, 160 and 260), to align the model with the personal needs of the user and the shape and size of the washbasin.
The mixers all come equipped with EcoSmart technology, including an aerator in the nozzle that reduces water flow to about 5L per minute to help meet building certification and environmental standards.
Lime-scale deposits can easily be rubbed away using your finger thanks to flexible silicone nubs in the spout, while changes in water pressure are easily overcome using a precision regulator that keeps the flow rate constant.
The chrome and gold surface finish on the Hansgrohe Raindance Classic overhead and hand showers is also new, designed to complement the Metropol Classic line in the shower area. Like the mixers, these showerheads come equipped with EcoSmart technology, reducing water flow to about 9L per minute.
