hansgrohe announces built-in kitchen sink combinations
hansgrohe has announced it is now offering built-in kitchen sink combinations, delivering a choice of two innovative control concepts to make kitchen chores easier.
The combinations, comprising a sink, mixer, intuitive controls and sophisticated technical components, were developed in cooperation with Stuttgart-based Phoenix Design studio.
“From our many years of experience and our expertise in kitchen mixers we know what it takes to make the sink area a highly functional kitchen centrepiece. That’s why as of now, hansgrohe will be offering high-quality, built-in sink units that feature an impressive combination of design and function. In developing them, we were guided by the question of how people use water in the kitchen,” says Hansgrohe SE vice president of product management Jan Heisterhagen.
The water control unit has been separated from the tap and placed at the front right-hand side of the sink rim to offer all users, regardless of age, height, and even physical disability added convenience.
The model fitted with the new hansgrohe two-hole Select 200 kitchen mixer M7119-H200 has a central control unit on the front right-hand side of the rim of the sink. This ergonomically shaped lever handle can be switched or turned to select precise temperature and water volume, with the settings remaining constant throughout the day. Water flow from the mixer can be turned on or off by pressing the select button, strategically positioned on the high spout, allowing users to operate the mixer from the front and ensure an ergonomic workflow.
The second model integrates Select technology directly into the sink itself. A large button on the right sink rim turns water flow from the multi-jet kitchen mixer on and off and also opens and closes the drain so that no other control is required in or around the sink, or detracts from its visual appeal.
Both models allow you to control the flow of water using the back of your hand or elbow and no electricity or extra devices are required in the base cabinet
The new hansgrohe sBox for both sink combinations keeps the base cabinet tidy and ensures reliable functioning. It stores the hose of the pull-out spray in a flat box specifically designed to fit standard base cabinets and ensures comfortable, smooth and quiet operation. In addition, the sBox offers greater freedom of movement, with the length of the new hose increasing the operating range around the sink by up to 26cm compared to pull-out models without a sBox. It also has multifunctional mounting brackets for flexibility when installing in base cabinets.
The hansgrohe sink combinations come with a stainless steel bowl mixer and control unit, the sBox, a waste set, mounting brackets and a connecting hose. All existing sizes of the hansgrohe stainless steel sinks are available in a combination package and can be installed mounted or flush with the countertop.
Depending on the model, sinks are suitable for base cabinets measuring 60cm or wider. You can choose a single sink, a drain-board or a double sink.
