US

Institution: University of Wisconsin at Madison

Course title: Fluid Systems Engineering (Bachelor of Science in Civil
Engineering with Fluid Systems Engineering option)

Course coverage: Piping and system components selection and design of hydraulic systems

Entry requirements: Standard college entry process

Course duration: Four years minimum

Course recognition: Worldwide

UK

Institution: University of Greenwich at Medway

Course title: Public Health Engineering Technology (BEng Hons)

Course coverage: Builds on a mechanical engineering core but with elements of civil engineering and specialist courses in water supply and distribution, wastewater and drainage, and applications in public health engineering.

Entry requirements: British A levels 180 UCAS points with at least one science/technology/maths based subject studied. Equivalent international qualifications accepted. Advanced entry offered for students with, for example, an appropriate Higher National Certificate/Diploma.

Course duration: Three years full time, four years ‘sandwich’ or six years part time

Course title: Diploma of Plumbing Engineering Hydraulic Services

Course coverage: Seven stream options

Entry requirements: High school Year 12 or Certificate 111 in Plumbing.
