This year, Bosch celebrates 80 years of hammer expertise by launching a new range of powerful hammers, as well as introducing Bosch Vibration Control technology to its premium 2kg hammers range.

In 1981, Bosch launched the lightest hammer in the world. Since then, it has sold over 35 million 2kg hammers worldwide. Continuing its legacy as a world leader in breakthrough hammer innovations, Bosch is launching a new state-of-the-art hammer range in 2012 – the best and most powerful yet!

Launching in July 2012, the GBH 2-28 DFV Professional features a powerful 850 Watt motor and a premium 2kg hammer with Vibration Control Counter-balance to protect tradesmen against the risk of hand-arm vibration syndrome. Robust rib design with metal covered gearbox also ensures superior lifetime and durability.

The new GBH 2-20 DRE Professional is versatility, power and speed rolled into one. Boasting a 600 Watt motor and 1.7 Joule impact energy, this is the fastest drilling compact hammer in its class weighing in at only 2.3kg.

The GBH 2-23 RE Professional with SDS Plus is perfect for drilling rows of holes. The hammer features a rotating brush plate for forward and reverse use, as well as a revolutionary design and impact mechanism to ensure the best drilling results every time.

Look out for a new range of 5kg demolition hammers with Hex or SDS max tool holders and 15% greater impact energy.
Bosch’s Senior Brand Manager, Richard White said he was delighted to celebrate Bosch’s 80th year of hammer innovation, demonstrating the brand’s continued commitment to helping tradesmen achieve the best professional results every time.

“The GBH 2-28 DFV and GBH 2-28 DV are at the forefront of hammer technology. These products, the most powerful and robust in the marketplace, represent a special milestone 80th anniversary year,” White said.
