The safety of plumbers while on the job is of high importance and state and federal laws are in place to ensure managers and employees aren’t putting themselves in risk.

Plumbers face myriad safety hazards everyday onsite and being prepared, trained and knowledgeable on the potential risks and how best to manage them is critical.

This is particularly important for electrical hazards from metallic pipes as electric shocks are risk for plumbers when they change water metres and other equipment in both residential and commercial buildings. The main contributing factor to this is a fault in the electrical supply that can cause metallic piping to essentially become ‘live’.
