COVID-19 can’t stop ambitious plumbers
The Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grants has hit a record number of applications, with less than one week left to apply. This comes despite the COVID-19 pandemic and compared to last year, there has been a 33% increase in apprentice plumbers applying for one of the 10 grants.
The grants from Rheem will reward 10 deserving apprentices around Australia $3,000 to kick start their career.
This comes after TAFE NSW paused all courses across the state to allow them to be transitioned online as the COVID-19 pandemic intensifies.
In addition to the largest applicant pool ever, Rheem has also received its most diverse set of applicants in its history with a 15% increase in mature-age apprentices applying.
“The increases in application from people from all walks of life allows us to support Australia’s future generation of diverse plumbers. We’re committed to helping aspiring apprentice plumbers achieve their goals, regardless of the paths that have led them there,” Rheem chief operating officer Chris Taylor says.
Applications for the 2020 Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grants close 5pm Monday 30 March 2020. Successful grant recipients will be announced on Friday 8 May. To apply, follow this link.
