The UK’s Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, a founder member of WPC, has been granted a Royal Charter.

The award of a Charter by the Privy Council is affirmation of the contribution the Institute makes to the safety and health of the public and the environment.

It also recognizes the role the organisation plays in the plumbing and heating industry, providing leadership, developing policy, raising standards through training and education, and making members accountable through its Code of Conduct.

The Institute is now the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering.
