Thousands of safety professionals from manufacturing, engineering, transport, mining, government and the corporate sectors will gather in Melbourne on 15 – 17 September 2015 for Safety in Action, the largest event of its kind. Staged at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, the workplace safety event will present a comprehensive seminar program and 200 exhibitors.

“Workplace health and safety is an issue of critical importance for all Australian workers. Each year hundreds of Australians die as a result of work related injuries and thousands are seriously injured. The event aims to break new ground on health and safety, and provide valuable information and support,” says John Wilson, Exhibition Director at Informa Australia, organisers of the event.

Putting safety systems to action to drive change is the theme and industry leaders will share the latest research, discuss regulatory compliance issues and showcase technological innovations to drive change. Speakers include David Clingin from Chemical Safety International, John Fell at Advanced Safety Systems Australia, Dr Paula Mitchell at Fatigue Management International and Marc McLaren of Generative HSE.

Companies exhibiting include: Myosh, ASPAC Group, Black Dog Institute, BOC Limited, Donesafe, Elide Fire Ball Australia, Xtreme Concepts, Lone Worker Australia and Motorola.

Attendance at Safety in Action Melbourne is free and open to any business and professional with a safety interest. You can register your place at the event online.

Co-located is the Safety Institute of Australia’s National Safety Conference, which will deliver an academically driven agenda, outlining the need for change in systems and provide new directions to safety challenges.
