The publicly listed Reece Australia Limited announced at the end of January that it had completed the purchase of Actrol Parts and AC Components (trading as Metalflex and Air Plus), from private equity firm Catalyst Investment Pty Ltd.

Actrol is a market leader operating in the area of specialised wholesaling, servicing the refrigeration and refrigerant based commercial air conditioning parts and equipment.

The Actrol Group has a network of 79 branches, 5 distribution centres and a gas decanting plant.

Though the respective trading names will remain, the acquisition provides growth for Reece’s core competencies in the area of trade distribution in an adjacent industry sector.
