Past WPC chairman honoured
Kreutzer’s involvement with the Council began in the 1990s, when the organisation was just beginning to formalise its structure.
At the request of the first elected chairman of the WPC, he oversaw the creation, presentation and adoption of organisational structure, bylaws and administrative procedures that continue to serve as the foundation of WPC today.
When he was elected as WPC’s second chairman, Kreutzer worked to increase membership and participation in the group. He also successfully got the WPC involved in the waterborne disease eradication efforts of the World Health Organization.
Kreutzer chaired the first formal meeting between the two groups and laid the groundwork for a relationship that has grown stronger over the years.
Bob Kreutzer is also a Past National President of the USA’s Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors—National Association (PHCC) and it was this organization that nominated him for the WPC award. Current President, Jim Finley, commented, “Bob Kreutzer truly earned this award, given his commitment to bringing international plumbing organisations together in initiatives to protect the environment and health of all nations. I commend the WPC for his selection.”
