National Legionella Conference announces keynote speakers
The National Legionella Conference hosted by the Institute of Plumbing Inspectors Queensland and the Legionella Management Advisory Group, has announced it’s keynote speakers for the event.
To be held 13-14 November, 2017 at Sea World Resort on the Gold Coast, the event will see Frank Endries present a snapshot of microbial challenges faced in the reticulated water system of a Victorian regional hospital, assessing the risks and mitigation process.
In addition to Frank’s presentation, Susan Petterson, an engineer with 20 years experience in human health risk assessment for sanitation and water systems will provide updates on the latest international research on legionella and its influence on risk management in water systems. Susan is the lead author of the WHO guidance document for undertaking quantitative microbial risk assessment.
The president of MPAQ, Kevin Slade will share his extensive knowledge and experience in water quality management, identifying risks and treating legionella outbreaks.
The two-day event brings together a wealth of knowledge on compliance, standards, testing and analysis, maintenance and risk management for those involved in industries where legionella is a risk.
