Mark Nykiel appointed chief executive of Vinidex

Mark Nykiel has been appointed the new chief executive of Vinidex, replacing Colin Weatherstone after four and a half years.

Vinidex is known for supplying pipe and fitting systems to the plumbing, civil, mining, irrigation, gas, hardware, rural, energy and infrastructure markets.

Vinidex has over a dozen manufacturing and warehouse locations across Australia and its products are used in a broad range of applications while offering support for customers.

“Col has been instrumental in the Aliaxis acquisition of Vinidex and expanding Vinidex’s footprint in Australia. Col is a strong supporter of the Plastic Pipe Industry Association and is the current chair of the peak body,” says Mark.

“I’m excited to lead the Vinidex business and drive a customer focused culture. I’m a strong supporter of Australian manufacturing as a competitive advantage for our customers across all our industry sectors. This local know-how and capability provided by our Vinidex team, combined with our footprint and resources backed by the global capability of Aliaxis, brings significant advantages for our customers.

Before joining Aliaxis in 2013, Mark was in a variety of senior executive roles in the Australian building products, constructions materials and mineral processing sectors.
