Water and energy will be the two main themes of ISH Frankfurt in 2009.

ISH, said to be the world’s leading trade fair for the bathroom, building services, energy, air conditioning technology and renewable energies sectors, is in its 50th year and the 2009 show will run from 10 to 14 March.

ISH Frankfurt 2009 seeks to show how water and energy, two of the world’s most valuable resources, can be used in a sustainable and economic way. Two of the questions to be answered are: Among the questions to be answered: how can everyone be given access to pure drinking water and how can we reduce energy consumption at home to ensure secure and affordable supplies of power for heating and air conditioning in the future?

“ISH will offer answers to these problems,” says Dr. Michael Peters, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt, organisers of the ISH exhibition series. He goes on, “However, the challenges can differ greatly depending on the country or region concerned. In this connection, manufacturers at the world’s leading trade fair for the sector in Frankfurt will show which ways are the best. Water and Energy will provide the bases for two fairs at the same time and place in Frankfurt, with ISH presenting the world’s biggest and most comprehensive range of sustainable solutions that also conserve resources.”

The ‘Bathroom Experience’ exhibition will have as its theme ‘Water is Life’ and manufacturers will be displaying the very latest technology, demonstrating for example how waste water can be processed for drinking.
