Caroma’s famous & stylish luxury bathroom collection by renowned designer Marc Newson has another award to its credit, winning the Housing Industry Association-CSR Hunter Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Award in 2015, in the category of Industry Innovation.

The latest award follows the collection winning the coveted iF Product Design Award from the International Forum Design in Hannover, Germany, and also being honoured by the German Design Council, receiving a Special Mention at the German Design Awards for 2014.

The HIA awards were held on 24th October, 2015; and are held in the highest regard within the residential building community, also have grown to become the Hunter region’s most distinguished housing awards program.

The state of the art Marc Newson bathroom collection was launched in August 2013, following the teaming of Marc Newson with iconic Australian bathroomware brand Caroma.

The bathroom range consisting of 22 pieces – featuring baths, mixer taps, showers, toilet suites, basins and urinals. Each piece has been meticulously designed by Marc, using high quality materials and patented engineering.

Key criteria for the judging included design features, the degree to which the product overcomes a functional problem and the degree of originality. The awards acknowledge the talents of designers, manufacturers and installers to plan safe, functional and innovative kitchens and bathrooms.

The award winners and finalists will be promoted on the HIA website and the major category award winners will compete as a finalist against the other HIA region winners at the 2016 HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards.
