To commemorate the 40-year milestone, Hindmarsh Plumbing hosted a cocktail function at the National Wine Centre on Thursday the 22nd of August. Close to 200 guests were in attendance including current joint Managing Directors, Tim and James Sarah and former Managing Directors Don and Neil Sarah.

“…40 is the birthday where it’s all happening, we’ve built up a bank of skills and experience but we’re still young and energetic. The future is in front of us and so it is for Hindmarsh Plumbing.” James Sarah said during the event.

This was echoed by Kym Magookin, General Manager – Service who explained that the next 10 years are just as important to Hindmarsh Plumbing as the last 40 have been, “The value of the past, and lessons learnt, provide us with significant knowledge and allows us to build upon and strengthen our foundations for the future.”

He went on to state that Hindmarsh Plumbing’s philosophy has always been to grow and develop their people. “We understand, now more than ever, the importance of future proofing our skill set and expertise and place value on growing our people. We drive our apprentice recruitment and development; we focus on training and career development for all our staff, and have a strong focus on engaging and retaining our people. We realise that to be successful in the plumbing industry we need to continue to grow and evolve.

“Established in 1973, and part of the Sarah Group of businesses, Hindmarsh Plumbing employs in excess of 240 South Australian’s, including 160 employees and 70 apprentices.
