Aussie Pumps, the leading Australian designer and manufacturer of Jetter equipment, has launched a free online safety-training course called “Safe Jetting”.

The Aussie Pumps Safe Jetting course is aimed at all plumbers using the Jetters to clear out blocked drains. The course promotes safety awareness, explains high pressure water technology, covers simple machine maintenance, and aims to prevent misuse of the equipment and operator injuries.

It takes less than half an hour and when completed participants can apply for an Aussie Pumps Certificate of Completion.

Mark Brown, Training Facilities Manager of Master Plumbers Association, NSW recently visited Aussie Pumps new facility, in Norwest, and was extremely impressed with the design, practicality, and safety components of their Cobra Jetter range.

“The fact that Aussie Pumps released a course on how to use these machines safely is important, it shows they put users safety first and are out eliminate jetting injuries.”

Many Jetter operators are unaware of the Australian Safety standards that apply when using these machines. The course explains the two Safety Classifications for high pressure water Jetters and the different training requirements for each class.

“Some plumbers don’t want to do the CLASS B training course because it’s expensive and needs to be renewed every two years. We don’t charge for our CLASS A safety training because we just want people to be safe. We want them to have good experiences with high pressure jetting equipment, irrespective of the brand being used” said Aussie Pumps John Hales. “We make the best machines in the business, but operator safety is our number one concern!” he said.
