FLIR introduces Si1-LD camera
Teledyne Technologies company FLIR has introduced the Si1-LD, an industrial acoustic imaging camera.
Designed to be faster and feature more accurate compressed air leak detection, the camera has improved detection and quantification capabilities compared to previous models such as the FLIR Si124-LD Plus.
The FLIR Si1-LD contains integrated ultrasonic technology that pinpoints leaks with enhanced imaging sensitivity. Its 96 microphones (2-100kHz) facilitate the automatic detection and the measurement of compressed air and vacuum leaks from a safe distance of up to 130m. To facilitate the easy capture of visual details, it also features a 12 MP colour camera with 8x digital zoom and LED lamp.
Bandpass filtering allows inspectors to tune out any confusing and/or incorrect sources of ultrasound without manual turning. It’s ideal for challenging leak detection applications where user input is advantageous, the inspector can use the bandpass filter to undertake manual tuning of the required frequency range when necessary.
“Many manufacturing and process plants are seeing their energy bills creep up through leaky compressed air systems, increasing operational expenditure and eroding margins,” FLIR global acoustic business development manager Darrell Taylor says.
“If you want to find leaks quickly and easily with minimal technician training, our new Si1-LD industrial acoustic imaging camera provides a fast and precise solution that supports sustainable manufacturing. As well as reduced energy consumption, the device helps you save on maintenance, repair, operation and capital costs all while enhancing worker safety.”
The camera comes with two batteries, an additional battery cover, a battery charger, camera neck strap, hard case, USB memory stick and access to free versions of online and offline acoustic analysis and reporting software.
Featuring a two-year warranty, two versions of the Si1-LD are available, with and without WiFi. All other features are the same.
