Enware Australia to Cease Local Manufacturing

Enware Australia has informed staff that it will cease its manufacturing activities in Australia.

In a communique issued to staff, Enware Australia – which was sold to US-based Watts Water in March 2023 – announced that:

“In the past two months, the management team have been reviewing how best to ensure the ongoing success of Enware. This has involved making tough decisions on processes and product ranges.

“Regrettably, the decision has been made to reduce costs by outsourcing manufacturing of Enware products. Once this outsourcing is completed, Enware’s current manufacturing function at 7-11 Endeavour Road, Caringbah, NSW, will no longer be required.”

The announcement added that the closure of manufacturing functions would take place over nine months, and that other administration and warehousing operations were under review.

“We plan to implement redundancies in phases to ensure Enware continues to provide a quality service to its customers, and the timings will depend on the logistics of the global supply chain.”
