The Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Association of WA is inviting everyone in the plumbing industry to a free Plumbing Industry Trade Day. Media representatives with an interest in the building and construction sector will also be welcome.

The event is being hosted at North Metropolitan TAFE (NMTAFE)’s Balga campus on Thursday 13 July 2023 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

A major drawcard for the event is that the impressive trade training facilities at the Balga campus will be open, giving attendees the opportunity to see what today’s state-of-the-art apprentice training involves.

There will also be a ‘mini trade show’ area where an array of plumbing industry suppliers will display their products and services.

Murray Thomas, CEO of The Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Association of WA, said,  “I encourage anyone with an interest in plumbing or plumbing training to attend the event and see for themselves the outstanding training facilities at Balga.”

“The event is a combined effort by this Association, which has a membership base of hands-on licensed plumbing contractors, and the TAFE system that provides the training that leads to plumbing qualifications.”

The Association is driving an industry strategy of partnering with TAFE to give educators and plumbing industry practitioners a communications channel for exchanging information. The Plumbing Industry Trade Day is a direct result of this strategy.
