Celebrating World Plumbing Day 2025
World Plumbing Day, 11 March, has come for 2025 and we wish all those around the industry a happy day.
The Master Plumbers Assocation (MPA) of NSW says that this opportunity is to celebrate these “essential” tradies who form the backbone of Australia’s water and sanitation systems, ensuring the public has access to clean water and safe plumbing infrastructure.
MPA NSW chief executive Nathaniel Smith states that plumbers are the “unsung heroes” of the trade industry.
“Plumbers ensure that the essential services we often take for granted are delivered safely and effectively,” he says.
“Homeowners must recognise that regular plumbing maintenance is not just a luxury but a necessity.”
Nathaniel highlights the importance of proactive measures such as regular checks, timely repairs and other necessary upgrades that will significantly prolong the lifespan of plumbing systems and safeguard homes against unexpected emergencies.
The MPA NSW claim that it is committed to fostering a culture of diligence and quality within the plumbing industry and encourages homeowners to engage only licensed members of its association when dealing with urgent repairs and installations.
Nathaniel says that he “salutes” the significant contributions that plumbers make, and to the MPA NSW members.
“To every plumber out there, your efforts make a difference,” he says.
“You are vital to the backbone of our society, and we celebrate you on this World Plumbing Day.”
