Axor Starck V: Classic Glass Cuts Grace
Hansgrohe’s revolutionary washbasin mixer Axor Starck V is now also available with a classic touch. From September on, the design brand of the mixer and shower specialist Hansgrohe SE will offer two new versions of the glass spout – diamond and bevel cuts. Alternatively, the removable spout will also be available in porcelain. The assortment made its debut on the Hansgrohe ISH trade fair stand in Frankfurt, Germany.
“A year after we presented Axor Starck V for the first time, we are demonstrating that this revolutionary design object can support the entire range of styles, from avant-garde to classic,” says Philippe Grohe, Head of Axor. “With the added selection of spouts, custom finishes and handles, we are giving our customers the opportunity to individualize, and to install this mixer in an even broader range of settings,” the grandson of the company founder Hans Grohe concludes.
The timeless cuts enhance the new versions of the Axor Starck V glass spout with classic elegance and genuine opulence. The high-quality diamond polishing technique is renowned for producing harmonious geometrical shapes that refract the light. Bevel cut polishing gives the mixer a beautiful shape with a precious note. The base of the removable spout has been consciously chosen for the placement of the cut edges: water and the vortex remain visible, and the mixer fuses with its surroundings. With the introduction of the two hand-polished versions of the spout, the Axor Stark V assortment is given a new, glamorous dimension.
In the glass spout versions of Axor Starck V, the revitalizing side of water is made visible by the dynamic beauty of the vortex. The calming effect of water emerges with the porcelain spout. The delicate, seemingly fragile material hints at a new, softer dimension, and allows mixer and washbasin to become one. Like all other versions in the assortment, the mixer body is available in fifteen custom finishes and with a lever or joystick handle.
In line with Hansgrohe’s principle of aesthetic, functional and sustainable product development, Axor Starck V excels through a number of technological innovations. For instance, the spout is either available in organic crystal, a particularly robust, durable material, or porcelain. In addition, the mixer offers a reduced flow rate of 4 l/minute – without compromising the water experience. The open, movable, and removable spout adds to the mixer’s convenience: it is easily installed and detached for cleaning in the dishwasher.
Axor Starck V mixer bodies are available in fifteen particularly scratch and detergent-resistant PVD finishes – including chrome, gold-optic, red- gold, black-chrome, nickel, brass, stainless steel optic, and bronze.
