AxFlow acquires Advanced Pump Technologies in Australia
AxFlow has acquired Advanced Pump Technologies Pty Ltd (APT Water), a distributor of fluid handling equipment and pump systems in Western Australia.
The acquisition is a key moment in AxFlow’s strategic ambition to expand its geographical presence and consolidate its position as a nationwide provider of fluid handling solutions across Australia.
A key highlight of the attainment is APT Water’s exclusive distribution rights for Xylem’s globally recognised Lowara brand across Western Australia. Additionally, AxFlow gains access to the Permaglass line of fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) pump columns and bore casings, which are highly regarded for their performance in borehole applications, particularly within mining, municipal, agriculture and irrigation markets.
AxFlow Oceania managing director Michael Briggs says the acquisition of APT Water is a major step forward in strengthening our national presence and reinforcing its capabilities in Western Australia.
“APT’s deep market knowledge, outstanding growth trajectory and established partnerships, particularly in mining and irrigation, align perfectly with AxFlow’s long-term strategic vision. We are excited to welcome the APT team into the AxFlow family and look forward to jointly delivering exceptional value to our customers,” he says.
APT Water directors of advanced pump technologies, Andrew Dean and Glenn Bagley, say that the company is immensely proud of its legacy and that joining AxFlow will open the floodgates to new and exciting opportunities.
“Our alignment in values, commitment to quality and focus on energy-efficient solutions like the Xylem Hydrovar product range and Permaglass will empower us to grow, both within Western Australia and beyond. We are excited about the journey ahead,” they say.
AxFlow Group chief executive Ole Weiner says that it is aiming to grow its presence in the Oceania market.
“This acquisition is another step in this strategic direction. We are excited to strengthen our capabilities in Australia and continue building on the strong foundation that the APT team has established,” he says.
