Australia’s first Hydrovar X commissioned in Victoria
Brown Brothers Engineers Australia has announced the commissioning of Australia’s first Hydrovar X.
The pump control system was launched in July 2024 and installed in a major sports park in Victoria.
Users can install the Hydrovar X quickly on both new and existing system through the built-in Setup Genie and application software. Bluetooth connectivity allows for convenient remote-control while eliminating needing to be in the pump room to change the controls.
Remote access allows users to monitor the system in real-time to offer greater visibility and control from various locations.
“We took full advantage of this capability to monitor the irrigation rotors remotely, ensuring everything was running smoothly before prepping the field for turf,” Brown Brothers Engineers business development manager Michael Garas says.
The pipefill mode is another feature to enable to pump to gradually fill pipes at a reduced speed to minimise press surges to protect the system. When the pipes are filled, the controller puts the pump into normal speed.
The Hydrovar X says connected to your phone once paired for easy access over several sites without changing settings.
“This seamless connectivity lets users manage multiple installations from a single device, whether adjusting parameters or generating service reports via the app,” Michael says.
Other features of the Hydrovar X are its flexibility, sustainability, simplicity, comprehensive protection, multi-pump capability, advanced control, quick installation and accessible monitoring.
