The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) has announced that it is seeking comment from stakeholders on the proposal to create a single set of governing requirements for the National Construction Code (NCC) 2019.

This single set of requirements will include mandatory instructions on how the NCC works and complies with the NCC. It will also involve standardising Section A of Volumes One and Three, as well as Section 1 of Volume Two.

The ABCB says the changes form part of the broader NCC Readability Project that is being implemented for NCC 2019 and 2022.

Feedback on the proposed governing requirements is now open through a short survey and will close on 3 September.
