Steel Blue releases new slate-coloured boots

Steel Blue has released its new line of slate-coloured boots targeted at the next generation of ‘trendy tradies’ and ‘lady tradies’.

The slate boot incorporates all the technology and fits from current boot designs in a fashionable new colour that appeals to all genders. Based on feedback, Steel Blue found young, fashion-conscious tradies prefer trendy, neutral tone colours in their work boots to complement their work apparel; a growing trend from leading workwear brands found at their local retail safety specialist.

The new offering includes both men and women’s fits with key stylistic features to make a more inclusively designed work boot for tradespeople.

“Our goal was to create a practical and fashionable boot for all people that caters to the anatomical differences in men and women’s feet without being overly feminine or gendered,” Steel Blue chief executive Garry Johnson says.

“The lady tradie doesn’t necessarily always want to wear a vibrant, stereotypically feminine colour. The new slate boot expands our selection of ladies fit boots giving even more options to female tradies so they can be both fashionable as well as safe and comfortable.”

He adds that the brand is aiming to be more inclusive and appealing to a larger range of tradies.
