Geberit Releases New Pipe Scraper

The Geberit Pipe Scraper is an attachment that connects to a cordless drill to effectively and efficiently remove the outer oxide layout from Geberit HDPE pipes. This tool is the new best practice method for this application. The pipe scraper is available in 56mm, 63mm, 75mm, 90mm and the most common 110mm. This provides complete flexibility for all job types such as Geberit Pluvia, Geberit Supertube and Trade waste installations. With smaller branches coming off large stacks the various sizes make it convenient to swap in and out as needed. They are also available individually or as a complete kit which includes a separate unit in each size from 56 to 110mm, a heavy-duty carry case, a complete set of spare parts, grease pen and instruction manual.
The unit works by fitting over the end of Geberit HDPE pipes with a small blade housed inside that is pre-set to remove the correct amount of material. The cordless drill rotates the pipe scraper around the end of the pipe, striping a thin layer of HDPE material from the outside. It is important to remove this outer oxide layer from HDPE pipes prior to electrofusion welding to ensure a strong, watertight weld. It takes just a few seconds needing only one pass over the pipe. It is also perfect for preinstalled pipe in hard to reach spots and is compatible with any cordless driver drill.
