A Chinese language version of ‘Health Aspects of Plumbing’ (HAP) was recently published making this important document now accessible to those responsible for plumbing and health issues in the country with the largest population in the world.

The translation of HAP into Chinese was organised and funded by the Plumbing Facilities Committee of China Construction Metal Structure Association.

The translation project was initiated through the joint efforts of Mr Hua Mingjiu, Vice-Chairman and Secretary General of the Plumbing Facilities Committee (and recently elected as a Director on the Executive Board of WPC) and former WPC Director, Mr Henry Hung of Hong Kong, China.

WPC Chairman, Robert Burgon, thanked those involved for allowing this significant translation to be made of the joint WPC/World Health Organisation publication and said that he “looked forward to seeing the document being used to promote the connection between good plumbing and good health in China.”
