Regulations are changing & your business will be affected
With a host of key speakers locked in, the 2016 Plumbing Supply Forum (PSF) on Tuesday May 24 is shaping up to be the most important industry event of the year.
Held biennially, the PSF is jointly presented by Plumbing Connection magazine and Plumbing Product Industry Group (PPIG) and offers a unique day of learning, debating and networking with the key people responsible for regulating and enforcing our industry.
“Networking is critical in any industry, and ours is certainly no different,” executive director PPIGroup Stuart Henry says.
“Meeting and talking with other key players in the industry is vital and can unlock a lot of doors for small and big business owners alike.
“Industry collaboration is also critical and ensures we achieve the best possible outcomes. The PPIGroup has worked on developing relationships with key government agencies to ensure that industry views and perspectives are considered in any change process.”
The informative morning work session will be focussed on standards, codes, regulation and enforcement where delegates will learn about and understand the changes proposed to plumbing standards development, how to work with changes to the WaterMark Scheme, the value of WELS and the impact of each issue on plumbers and end users.
This will be followed by an extended lunch and networking opportunity where starting new conversations is highly encouraged.
The afternoon then promises an interesting presentation on benchmarking with the plumbing sector globally, as well as the ever popular Housing Industry Association (HIA) building and construction market economics presentation, plus a unique industry Q&A opportunity.
“With the focus of the PSF being on critical change to key areas of regulation, you can’t afford to miss it,” Stuart says.
