Tools are the lifeblood of any tradie. Without flexible efficient tools the tradie’s job would be significantly more difficult. Here is a tool that should be the staple of any plumber’s tool bag.

The Plumtool Multi-Fit Grommet is a new product that solves an old problem that often occurs when installing pipes and wiring through metal studs. The Multi-Fit Grommet fits and grips in multiple thicknesses of studwork, from .45mm through to 2.5mm thick! There is no longer a problem with back to back studs or thicker material in cyclone areas, this grommet fits them all.

No need to have different grommets for different thicknesses, no need to silicone them in, The Plumtool Multi-Fit has unique flexible push in panels that allow the body of the grommet to be pushed through the hole until the three locating pins click into place, holding the grommet firmly and permanently in position. Pipe work or wiring up to 25mm in diameter can pass through the centre of the grommet fully protected and insulated from the edge of the hole in the studwork.

The hole size required for the grommet is 32mm and in materials up to .6mm the Plumtool Stud Punch offers the fastest and most efficient method of cutting the hole. Easily operated by one person, the stud punch produces a perfect hole in seconds.

For studs thicker than .6mm the Plumtool Steel Stud Drill will do the job quickly and efficiently.

Metal frame houses are on the increase, they are stronger, termite proof and fire resistant. Plumtool is working to keep the plumber up to speed with the changes.

All these Plumtool products are available through plumbing supplies anywhere in Australia.
