On Friday 11 May, WorldSkills Australia received the tragic news that Matthew Zambrowski, the Hunter Region representative at the recent National Refrigeration Competition, was involved in a motor vehicle collision which regrettably took his life.

Matthew was a talented young refrigeration mechanic from Kurri Kurri, New South Wales. He demonstrated his aptitude for refrigeration by taking out the silver medal at the competition. Matthew was described as a funny, kind and hard working young man with the world at his feet.

WPI would like to send its condolencest to the Zambrowski family during this difficult period.
