Hansgrohe launches lead-free tapware ranges ahead of 2026 regulation
Hansgrohe Australia has launched its first-ever lead-free tapware ranges, positioning Hansgrohe ahead of Australia’s upcoming mandatory lead-free plumbing regulations, set to take effect on 1 May 2026.
Following three years of research and development, Hansgrohe has unveiled four premium lead-free collections, the Rebris S, Tecturis S, Zesis and Vivenis, offering an elevated blend of sustainable design and luxury. The ranges are available through premium bathroom retailers nationwide and include basin mixers, wall basin mixers and kitchen mixers.
Each range is available in five finishes of chrome, brushed nickel, brushed black chrome, brushed bronze and matt black, allowing for cohesive styling across accessories, showers and thermostats.
Rebris S brings a refined evolution of a Hansgrohe favourite, reimagined in lead-free form by the PHOENIX design studio. Its slim silhouette and clean lines deliver understated sophistication for modern interiors.
Tecturis S combines minimalist design with performance-driven sustainability. Integrated EcoSmart+ technology reduces water consumption to 4.5 litres per minute, saving up to 20% more water than standard Hansgrohe mixers without compromising comfort.
Zesis S and Zesis M33 have sleek profiles and subtle details like a flush-integrated aerator and optional pull-out spray, Zesis offers both bathroom and kitchen versatility with a focus on durability and efficiency.
Vivenis, inspired by nature, delivers a sensory experience through a broad, laminar spray that mimics a calm stream. It also features EcoSmart+ technology to minimise water use while maintaining the brand’s signature sense of indulgence.
“As Australia gears up for the 2026 lead-free era, we’re proud to lead the charge,” Hansgrohe Australia managing director Simon Balzer says.
“By delivering lead-free innovation early, with unmatched design and finish options, we’re not just complying, we’re redefining how Australians experience water in their homes.”
