Zip Water’s MicroPurity filters achieve certification
Zip Water has revealed that its MicroPurity 0.2-micron filters (models 93701 and 93702) are now certified to reduce polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
Zip Water managing director ANZ Mike Abbott says the certificate provides customers with full confidence that their Zip HydroTaps deliver clean and safe water that is free from contaminants.
“At Zip Water, we understand that our customers rely on us to provide safe, high-quality drinking water,” he says. “This certification reinforces our commitment to maintaining their trust and ensuring our products meet the most rigorous standards.”
PFAS are synthetic chemicals that have raised global concerns due to their persistence in the environment and potential health risks.
The Zip MicroPurity filters are also certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 (aesthetic effects) and 53 (health effects).
The filters remove up to 99.9% of contaminants such as microplastics, asbestos, chlorine taste and odour, as well as sediment larger than 0.2 microns, lead and inhibit bacterial growth.
“We are always thinking about our customers’ needs and are proud to offer solutions that address emerging issues like PFAS,” Mike says. “By staying at the forefront of water safety technology, we can continue to provide the best possible hydration solutions.”
