Vacuum Drainage gets the go-ahead

Through the national support of the Plumbing Products Industry Group (PPIG), the Vacuum Drainage “special interest group” was created under the PPI Group banner to collaborate in drafting  the technical requirements covering the design and installation of Vacuum Drainage Systems.

Subsequently, after six years and with the assistance of both Standards Australia and the ABCB, the technical requirements developed for Vacuum Drainage Systems have now been accepted and adopted into AS/NZS3500.2 – Sanitary plumbing and drainage as a “Deemed to satisfy” solution.

This technology is expected to deliver new technical solution opportunities to both hydraulic designers and contractors.

Plumbing Connection magazine will review what this means to the plumbing industry in a coming issue.
